This title is sort of a disclaimer, just in case I mess this up, you will know that I am still in the learning/practice/stupidity stage. Anyway, here we go.
We just finished up spending a week at the FMCA Rally in Redmond, Oregon. Although it is only 40 minutes from home, we stayed there in the motorhome, camped with our Oregon-Washington Coaches for Christ group.
We (as a group) volunteered to drive the handicap carts around. Driving golf carts around the fairgrounds was a lot of fun. We also participated in numerous RV-related seminars. In addition, Coaches for Christ hosted a 7am devotion time every morning.
The highlight of the rally was when Don preformed his Nicodemus monologue on Saturday morning. It was his best performance ever and was very well received.
We had had a studio-produced video made just before this and we sold 10 of the DVD's. Several people are interested in him presenting Nicodemus for their churches in the future. We were blessed and humbled by the response.

So Monday morning arrived and we had everything ready to go. The last minute I walked through the kitchen on my way out the door and noticed a puddle in front of the frig.
The freezer section was at 47 degrees and everything was defrosting. I grabbed everything still salvageable and put it in the freezer of the garage frig. Lots of stuff just went into the trash. So that being taken care of, off we went.
A little later that morning, I heard from Donna, my next door neighbor and all around great friend. She had gone over to the house that afternoon to check out the situation and found the frig section as well as the freezer was now at 67 degrees. Not good.
Bless her heart, she carried everything still in the frig to the garage and disconnected the power from the beast. What would we do without her??!?? We will deal with the frig situation when we return from this trip.
We are now heading East across Oregon toward Idaho. We will be staying in a truck stop or rest stop for the night as we are just trying to cover ground at this point.
